DC Comics Launches New “Sweet Tooth” Miniseries On November 3rd

Fans of Sweet tooth, the series was hailed as Mad Max meets Bambi, which operated under DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint from 2009 to 2013, will be happy to hear that a brand new Sweet tooth the miniseries will debut in November!

DC Comics revives the sweet tooth

Critically acclaimed international bestseller Jeff Lemire reunites with colorist José Villarubia to bring fans the next chapter in DC’s beloved saga comic series Sweet tooth! The six-issue post-apocalyptic fantasy miniseries featuring the bizarre and haunting Sweet Tooth hits shelves on November 3.

Once upon a time there was a little boy named Gus. He had woods and lived with his father in a small cabin in the woods. Then his father died and the tall man with cold eyes took Gus away. Gus has had many great adventures, found friends, love, happiness, family and acceptance.

Now years later… it starts all over again. A young boy with antlers and deer features wakes up to a strange and completely alien world where the last humans struggle to survive.

They tell the boy he’s special he is selected, and that only he can bring them back to a world dominated by oppressive hybrids.

Sweet tooth: the return there is no re-hash of the original series, but rather a daring re-imagination of the Sweet tooth mythology; take elements from the original series and remix them into something familiar, but totally new.

A divided world. A planet long ago passed the point of devastation. And at the center of it all, a child who hasn’t asked to be born into it all, but has no choice but to try to make a life for himself.

His visions and dreams may not be real at all… they may just be fiction. But they are hope. And sometimes hope is enough.

New issues will ship monthly and the series will carry DC’s Black Label content descriptor, indicating appropriate content for readers 17 and older. For more information on this series, visit DC Comics website.
