Wyoming has some of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring landscapes in the entire country. Likewise, the moose that live there are among the most majestic animals in the deer family. Both of these scenic resources need to be protected, and that’s where the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation comes in. It has provided aid to Wyoming since 1986, and most recently the RMEF awarded $6,046,939 for Wyoming elk habitat research.

“Our dedicated volunteers have a long and successful history of generating fundraising at chapter banquets and other events across Wyoming,” said Kyle Weaver, President and CEO of RMEF. “We express our sincere gratitude to them and their continued efforts which contribute to the pursuit of our mission.”
RMEF injects $6 million into Wyoming elk habitat research
With its initial contribution of $310,656, the Rocky Mountian Elk Foundation convinced its partners to grant more than $6,000,000 to protect Wyoming’s natural resources. This money will be used to fund 20 projects across the state, including improving water sources, wildlife restoration and research projects. These projects will benefit the entire state, all 14 counties that comprise it, and will also provide funding for hunters with disabilities in Wyoming. Wyoming Disabled Hunters is a national organization that provides hunters with disabilities the opportunity to have a safe, quality hunting experience. All thanks to the RMEF, its partners and the 7,600 members of Wyoming.
